A Welcome Message from the Dean

     Welcome to BEC. The Faculty of Business, Economics and Communications, Naresuan University, Phitsanulok, Thailand offers a variety of innovative programs leading to eight bachelors’ degrees, six masters’ degrees, and four Ph.D. degrees with unparalleled facilities and resources in a warm and inviting environment.

     In 2003, the Higher Education Commission approved the establishment of the Faculty of Management and Information Science. The Faculty was renamed in 2012. The Faculty of Business, Economics and Communications currently consists of five academic departments: Business Administration, Tourism, Economics, Accountancy, and Communications. Besides, the Faculty operates the Center for Academic Service such as Stock Exchange of Thailand Investment Center - SET IC, Federation of Accounting Professions - Phitsanulok Branch, Center of Excellence in Tourism Management, and Center of Excellence in Small and Medium Enterprises Management which maintains networks inside and outside of Thailand, providing investment information for lecturers to produce high-quality research for publication and commercial purposes.

     Our bachelor’s level graduates are fully equipped for the challenges in the 21st-century market place and our master’s and Ph.D. graduates are ready for their leadership roles in their professions. The Faculty supports undergraduate student exchange programs, such as integrated learning and short-term cultural exchange programs. In addition, presently there are international students enrolled from nine countries in Asia at the postgraduate level, providing culturally diverse experiences for all BEC staff and students.

     BEC is committed to delivering the highest quality in teaching, learning, and research. All of our teaching faculty conduct research for publication and the integration of research into their teaching is the key to ensure current issues are incorporated into all learning programs. We also make sure that our students consider global perspectives. Graduate students have the opportunity to attend world-class seminars abroad.

     The programmes of the faculty have been accredited according to the quality assurance standards at the Asian level as ABEST21. In the future, we aim for accreditation with AACSB at the faculty level and all programmes will improve quality to AUN-QA.

     The faculty is determined to integrate knowledge in the fields of business, economics, and communications to develop communities and ultimately the nation. BEC has established partnerships with leading industries both nationally and internationally. Through academic services, BEC acts as a consultant to SMEs, entrepreneurs, and OTOP enterprises in the lower northern region of Thailand.

     The true measure of our excellence can be measured in the quality, dedication, and leadership of our graduates to enhance the society they live and work in.
